![]() Just please create an option to disable this clunky mode. Doing this in the car is dangerous and I dislike having to do it each time, especially if there is a bluetooth sync issue after a phone dies, change sync, etc. Spotify, the ultra-popular music streaming service, has a designated mode designed to help drivers use the app safely while using it inside of a vehicle. I get the reason for safety but it's very bad UX that, even in this new car mode, the user still needs to tap a very small "X" in the corner. Other suggestions are to just give the user bigger control buttons. The Car Thing, a dashboard accessory for streaming music, was widely available for only five months. There is a delayed female voiceover that tries to read the name of the playlist, sounds awful, and THEN the song starts playing-Added with bluetooth lag in a car, this is a crappy experience. Spotify has stopped manufacturing its Car Thing. Switching playlists in this UI takes forever and is not immediate. For some reason the playlist that will start playing is another playlist that I have zero interest in playing (e.g. My last played song and/or playlist isn't continued when I get back in my car.Yesterday I manually updated spotify and this morning when I plugged in to the car CAR VIEW was gone. I reported that CAR VIEW has disappeared from view and it took just on 2 months to get it back. I do NOT want to see my recently played, and I want to jump to choose my playlists as early in the user flow as possible. Spotiy has done it again, CAR VIEW is gone. ![]() Can anyone confirm that this works 100% and will not ask the user each time he/she syncs with their car?Ī few things I am finding that are terrible: But I'll have to resync my offline playlists. It also has a built-in microphone so that you can use it for phone calls. The Soundbot is a media button that allows you to pause, play, and skip music tracks on your phone. I MIGHT go and delete the app and reinstall to try the "Not Now" fix one user suggested. If you want something that’s a fraction of the price of the Spotify Car Thing, the Soundbot SB360 is it. I am also really frustrated with this mode.
